Harmony Ekandem, a member of the Under 23 Eagles team was robbed toady of about $10,500 by armed robbers in Festac, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Police sources at Festac police station told P.M.NEWS on phone that the robbers struck early this morning at 71 Close,
23 Road in Festac, where he was dispossessed of the money as well as other personal valuables at gun point.
In a related development, our reporter learnt that Frank Oriabure, son of Joseph
Oriabure, a deputy superintendent of police serving in Onitsha and Promise
Okosodo from Edo State were arrested by police detectives from Festac in
connection with an alleged robbery incident.
Though Samuel Jinadu claims he is not aware of the two incidents, competent
police sources in Festac however confirmed the incidents as true.
