In a bid to motivate the Lagos State Boxers to win gold medals at the Garden City Games, the State’s Amateur Boxing Association, has provided a first class treatment to its pugilists as the boxers arrived Port Harcourt, Rivers State, by air.
Sportsweight.blogspot.com reports that majority of the state’s athletes boarded Marco polo Mercedes Benz buses made available by the State’s Sports Council.
Head Coach of the State’s Amateur Boxing Association, Obafemi Babafemi, said the State’s former Commissioner for Finance, Olawale Edun, gave the pugilists the first class treatment to motivate them to win gold medals at the Garden City Games.
He said the Saturday Boxing Show would be an added advantage for the pugilists because it would keep them in good frame of mind to outwit their opponents to make the state proud at the Games,stressing that the boxers are good frame of mind to outwit their opponents.
