Imoke Dangles N.5m At Gold Medallist
Governor of Cross River state, Liyel Imoke, has promised to reward athletes that win laurels at the ongoing 17th edition of the National Sports Festival holding in Port Harcourt, River State.
Imoke promised to give N500,000 each to all gold medal winners. Recipients of silver and bronze medals will also be rewarded accordingly for their efforts at the Games.
The athletes and officials of the state are optimistic of winning laurels and doing the state proud.
With swimming and cycling underway, athletes in other sports have stated their readiness to win medals.
The state arrived in Port Harcourt on Tuesday and has commended the organisers for the infrastructure on ground.
The athletes are hopeful to win medals and prize money during the Games and have commended the governor for his support.
