The Lagos State Government has directed that workers who shunned slated training programmes be made to refund course fees.

A circular from the Ministry of Establishment, Training and Pension, directed all sectional heads in the various ministries to ensure that those who absented themselves from such courses refund the fees.

The circular, signed by Mrs Shade Jaji, Permanent Secretary in the ministry, said: “Staff absent from workshops or those who partially attended should make refunds”.

She decried the practice where workers stayed away from workshops after collecting allowances.
