FG, NGO To Collaborate On Early Child Education

The Federal Government has indicated its readiness to partner with a non government organisation, the Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI) to fine tune policy with a view to developing the nation’s early childhood.

A Senior Aide to the President, Mr. Douglas Oronto, stated this during the award of Woman of Valour on the wife of the Rivers State Governor,  Judith Amaechi in Atlanta Georgia, United State of America.

He said both state and Federal Government have appreciated the significant role of early childhood education in arresting the dwindling fortune of education in the country and are making collaborative effort with the Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI) founded by the wife of the Rivers State governor to develop the sub-sector.

He commended the ESI
interventionist effort in the early child development initiative in the
country.

Also speaking, the Nation’s consular General in the state of Georgia
Hon. Geoffrey Teneilabe stated that the Federal Government was
determined to tap the resources of its citizens in tackling frontally
challenges bedeviling the nation’s economy.

Mr. Teneilabe disclosed that the first national convention on kindergarten education in Nigeria organised by the Empowerment Support Initiative ESI, was an eye opener on the need to harness the effort of corporate individuals especially non-government organisations with special skills and expertise in
addressing some of its educational challenges.

He charged Nigerians in Diaspora to join the Federal Government in its resolve to breathe new air into all sectors of the economy.
