Igbo Community Commends Fashola

Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State has been commended for appointing proven technocrats and men of integrity as commissioners into his cabinet.

 

This commendation was given at a briefing by the Igbo community and non- Indigenes Association after their meeting in Lagos. Addressing newsmen at the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the association, Eze Uchechukwu Nwachukwu said: “ We, the Igbo community and non-Indigenes in Lagos hereby commend Babatunde Raji fashola, SAN, our party National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, for the re-appointment of our son, the former Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Pastor Ben Akabueze.’’

 

Eze Nwachukwu who was the chairman of the 15-man mobilization committee for the re-election of Governor Fashola said: “We thank God for the re-appointment of Pastor Ben Akabueze because he is a dynamic technocrat, a detribalized Nigerian, who has been loyal to the cause and aspirations of the Lagos State government in the past four years. The Igbo and non-indigenes in Lagos therefore have implicit confidence in his ability to deliver just like he has done in the past because he is a man of integrity, accountability, who believes in the rule of law,” adding that with this appointment, Governor Fashola has shown that he has a team, “committed to the continuation of the infrastructure development of Lagos State.”
