Bank Presents 6 Buses To NURTW in Plateau

The Mwaghavul Microfinance Bank in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau has presented six buses to the state chapter of the NURTW.

Mr. Simon Arduhur, Managing Director of the bank, said at the bus presentation ceremony in Mangu on Monday that the buses were acquired under the FGN/Urban Development Bank Mass Transit Scheme.

Arduhur said that the buses would help to ease transportation challenges in the area and also help to reduce poverty.

“By giving out these buses, we hope to reduce transportation costs being experienced by commuters,” he said.

Arduhur said that another batch of six buses would be delivered to the union later in the month.

He said the bank had so many products aimed at reducing poverty and called on the public to avail themselves of the products.

The managing director said that the bank had six branches in different locations in the state and had grown by offering quality services to its customers.

The bank presented small and medium enterprise award of N200, 000 to Alhaji Sabo Mangu, a major transporter in the area.

It said that the award was presented on behalf of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)

Mr. John Clark , Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, commended the bank for the initiative and appealed to the management to consolidate on the achievements.

Clarke urged the NURTW to make good use of the buses and avoid reckless driving.
