Students of the Lagos State University, Ojo Campus, have expressed excitement following the visit of Governor Babatunde Fashola to the institution on Tuesday last week.
During the visit, Governor Fashola was said to have inspected some dilapidated structures in the institution, with the aim of renovating them.
The governor, in company of his entourage, was received and conducted round the institution by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lateef Hussein and some other key staff of the institution.
Speaking with Campus Square, some of the students said they are quite happy about the state government’s interest in fixing some dilapidated structures on the campus. They, however, urged the governor to be hasty in his decisions.
“It is unfortunate that we didn’t really have time to talk to him because we also want him to address the issue of policemen harassing our students every time. But we are still happy that he intends to renovate some structures on the campus,†a student said.
