President Jonathan has appointed former Chairman of The Guardian Editorial Board, Dr. Reuben Abati as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity which retaining former Edo State Deputy Governor, Mike Oghiadome as his Chief of Staff.

The new appointments were contained in a press release signed by Pius Anyim, the Secretary to the Federal Government of the Federation, SGF issued this evening.

 

The other appointees are: Engineer Mohammed Abubakar, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Ambassador Hassan Tukur, Principal Secretary, Professor Abubakar Sambo, Special Adviser on Energy, Mrs Sarah, Special Adviser on Social Development, Dr Tunji Olagunju, Special Adviser on NEPAD, Mrs. Sarah Jubril, Special Adviser on Ethics and Values, Mr Oronto Douglas, Special Adviser on Research and Strategy, Senator Joy Emordi, Special Adviser on National Assembly matters, Honourable Kingsley Kuku, Special Adviser on Niger Delta Affairs.

Also appointed are Dr Pius Olakunle, Special Adviser on International Relations, Professor Dan Adebiyi, Special Adviser on Special Duties, Mrs. Ashimawu Abdulkadir, Special Adviser to the President on Gender Isuues, Mr. Akachukwu Nwafor, Special Adviser to the President on Technical Matters, Yakubu Abdullahi, Special Adviser on Political Matters Office of the Vice President, Barrister Rasheed Sufian Special Adviser to the President on Legal Matters Office of the Vice President and Senator Isiah Balat, Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties Office of the Vice President. The new appointees are to be sworn in by the President tommorrow.
