Members of the Lagos State Taxi Drivers and Cabs Operators Association, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria have congratulated the new commissioners in the state.
The association’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Lateef Oseni, commended the Lagos State governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, for appointing Mr. Kayode Opeifa, as the Commissioner for Transportation, adding that he has the needed experience to steer the ministry.
“Opeifa knows the problems facing the sector and we are very sure that transportation sector under him would witness tremendous development.â€
Oseni, however, advised the Commissioner to try and rebrand the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, by disengaging the ‘bad eggs’ in the sector.
He also called on him to ensure that the law that bans other vehicles from using the BRT lane is strictly observed by all motorists, especially commuter bus operators.
Alhaji Rasheed Tiamiyu, the spokesperson of the association, called on the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, governors in the southwest to work vigorously so that the party could win more states in the next political dispensation.
