Onosode Advocates Effective Human Capital Development

For Nigeria to attain her expectations as member of the World 2020 economy, Dr Gamaliel Onosode has enjoined those in authority to come out with a blueprint that would reposition her destiny, especially in the area of effective, functional socio-economic and political infrastructure that would effectively power the economy and provide hope for the populace.

In addition, efforts must be made to reconstruct the road map for a viable economy, especially with the revamping of the power sector, the engine and the bedrock of the nation’s economy.

The industrialist and elder statesman was the Chairman, Graduate Opportunity Project 5000 2011 conference organised by the African Emergent Markets Network, at the Unilag Auditorium, Akoba Yaba, Lagos recently.

He also lamented the damage corruption has done to the economy. The former Chairman of Dunlop Industries Nigeria Plc warned that except a drastic measure to firmly arrest corruption was effected, the hope of the nation may be further shattered.

Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Group Managing Director, Kewalarams/Chanrai Ltd Mr. Victor Eburajolo, charged Nigerian leaders to see employment and human capital development as complete armaments, adding that they should stop trading values for money.

President, African Emerging Markets Network (AEMN) organisers of the event, Arch. Frank Femi Afolabi warned on the consequence of the present unemployment rate.

He urged the participants to make the best use of the knowledge gained at the event, with a view to repositioning their destiny and making Nigeria a worthy place to happily live in.
