Suspect Caught With Sub-Machine Gun

Anti-robbery policemen attached to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Yaba, Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, have arrested a middle aged man with a sub-machine gun.

The suspect indentified as Ajibola from Ibadan, Oyo State, was arrested along Ilupeju bye-pass, Lagos, following a tip-off .

P.M.NEWS learnt that during interrogation, the suspect confessed that he belongs to an armed robbery gang that has been terrorising Ilupeju residents.

Following this statement, the police have launched a manhunt for other members of the gang.

In another development, a middle aged man simply identified as Wale was rescued from a well after several hours.

The victim who was contracted alongside Mr. Adeleye to evacuate sand from an abandoned well at 12, Olaroku Street, New Oko-Oba, fell into the well in the cause of removing the sand.

Eye witnesses told P.M.NEWS that several calls were made to the Lagos State Fire Service who did not turn up until he matter was reported at the Oko-Oba Police Station from where an officer called in specialists in well operation led by Isiaku Usman who eventually rescued Wale from the well.

When P.M.NEWS visited the Oko-Oba Divisional Police Officer, she was said to have gone on a routine patrol.
