Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola, has commended the organisers of the ongoing Boska Cup, saying that the tourney has brought thousands of youths to limelight.
The soccer loving governor, who has been monitoring the competition through the media, said he is satisfied with the organisation and the number of youths taking part in the championship.
“The sustenance of this championship shows the authenticity of the sponsor and I am quite happy that more than thousands of youths are fully engaged in the competition. I can only advise the organisers to keep up the good job and ensure that all the participating teams are given equals treatment,†he said.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dotun Coker, urged the other officials to remain resolute and give their best on the remaining matches. According to him, what the governor said is a wake up call to everyone involved to put in more effort. He promised that all the teams will be treated equally.
“If governor Fashola can commend Boska Cup, it means that we need to do more so that we can give our sponsor, Orange Drug Limited, value for their money. I am happy that this year’s edition is better and I hope that we will maintain the standard in the years to come,†he said.
