Invisible Tackle Candid, As Chairman’s Cup Ends ‘Morrow


The playground of Roman Catholic Primary School, Ibeju-Agbe Town, Lagos, will be agog tomorrow as the grand finale of the Prince Bayo Balogun Football Championship holds.

The final of the grassroots soccer tourney tagged Chairman’s Cup 2011 will be played by Invisble FC of Awoyaya and Candid of Iberekodo. To qualify for the final, Invisible defeated Okanlomo FC by a lone goal in one of the semi final ties played on Monday while Candid FC beat Lakowe FC 3-0 at the playground of Magbon Alade Grammar School, Ibeju.

Organisers of the competition look forward to a glamorous closing ceremony as the annual championship is sponsored by the Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Prince Bayo Balogun, who is fondly called “The Special One”.
