Invisible Tackle Candid, As Chairman’s Cup Ends ‘Morrow

The playground of Roman Catholic Primary School, Ibeju-Agbe Town, Lagos, will be agog tomorrow as the grand finale of the Prince Bayo Balogun Football Championship holds.

The final of the grassroots soccer tourney tagged Chairmanâ€s Cup 2011 will be played by Invisble FC of Awoyaya and Candid of Iberekodo. To qualify for the final, Invisible defeated Okanlomo FC by a lone goal in one of the semi final ties played on Monday while Candid FC beat Lakowe FC 3-0 at the playground of Magbon Alade Grammar School, Ibeju.

Organisers of the competition look forward to a glamorous closing ceremony as the annual championship is sponsored by the Chairman, Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Prince Bayo Balogun, who is fondly called “The Special One”.
