Residents of Park View Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria have been groaming in darkness for over two months. Worse still, there is no solution in sight yet.

When P.M.NEWS visited the estate this morning, some security men at the gate confirmed that the place has been in darkness for about two months.

They also told our correspondent that the residents have lodged complaint at the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, Undertaking office at Fowler Street, off Kingsway Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

When P.M.NEWS called at the PHCN office this morning, an official who spoke under the condition of anonymity admitted that the estate had been without PHCN power supply for some time.

The official said his men have been making efforts to restore power supply to the estate, stressing that their problem has been the absence of a detector, to be able to know the exact point the fault had occurred.

He said in their effort to detect the fault using pole-to-pole approach, more time was wasted. And when the power was restored, the transformer was damaged.

The PHCN official assured that his men will not relent until the fault is detected and power restored at the estate, adding that his men left for the place this morning.
