Tears flowed freely today as the late governorship candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in the 2007 election, Adedipupo Akanni Dina (D. D. Direct) was remembered.

He was remembered as part of his 51st post-humous birthday celebration held at his hometown, Ijebu-Ode in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The late Dipo Dina was born into the family of Alapoekun in Itale area of Ijebu Ode on 15 July 1960.

He belonged to the Egbe Bobagunte age grade in Ijebu-Ode and held several titles before he was killed by assasins.

Our correspondent gathered that the celebration was packaged by an NGO believed to belong to a woman who is a chairmanship aspirant in Ijebu North East Local Government Area of the state.

The woman, P.M.NEWS learnt, is called Bukky by her political admirers and was one of the strong members of the Dipo Dina Movement when the late politician was alive.
