The Proprietress of Diamond Mine Nursery and Primary School, Ogba, Lagos State, Mrs. Grace Aderibigbe, has urged parents to purchase the necessary textbooks as well as give their wards the basic stationery needed, to make learning more fun.

Aderibigbe disclosed this at the fourth graduation and prize-giving day of the school, held yesterday at its premises.

The school proprietress observed that in the past many parents denied their ward the basic things that could make them participate fully in their respective classes. “While we are willing to play our part, where you find us lacking in our commitment to caring for these wards, we are appealing that as parents, you should play your part adequately.

“We are proud today that our school is gradually emerging as a respected institution that has been able to prove its mettle as a credible citadel of learning; a place where parents are assured of getting the best education for their wards at the least cost. Your darling school would also as from next session, be joining the league of schools that have adopted the Montessori method of teaching.

“We have just purchased a more befitting school bus, which we are sure would meet the desire of discerning parents who have been longing for such a service as part of our tradition,” she stated.

The event was graced by many dignitaries, including Mr. and Mrs. Adebayo, Pastor Eniyekan and Mrs. Fashola, Proprietress of Mega Care School. Certificates were presented to graduands while prizes were given to outstanding pupils.
