One of big boys at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Ajegunle Campus, Abe Tolulope, otherwise known as 2ice, has completed work on his debut promotional songs entitled Akoyenje and Atilewon and are expected to hit the airwaves in a couple of days.
Although the songs are not yet on radio stations, they have become popular in a way by being used as ring tones on many phones, particularly among LASPOTECH students.
Meanwhile, the aspiration of 2ice, the Igbole, Ekiti State-born dude, is definitely beyond this feat. According to him, his ambition is to rule the Nigerian music charts for as many years as possible, while he also looks forward to exporting his unique Afro/Hip hop music style to the foreign scene.
According to the Banking and Finance studen, “music is my life, so it is not in any way difficult for me to write songs. The originality is there, so everything about music seems to be extremely comfortable for me. And with the experience I have garnered over the years, ruling the music industry for years shouldn’t be a Herculean task.â€
Campus Square gathered that 2ice started playing music eight years ago, but he has not been able to launch himself to the mainstream due to financial constraints “but I think it is high time to take the bull by the horn and let the whole world know the stuff I’m made of.â€
