Passengers with Air Nigeria who travelled from Douala International Airport, Cameroon, to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, were delayed last night for about five hours, it was learnt.
P.M.NEWS learnt that the Air Nigeria flight, scheduled to arrive Lagos at 6.40pm, only landed at 11.17pm, almost five hours after the scheduled time.
Relatives and friends who had come to welcome their loved ones made frantic calls to know their whereabouts.
An official at Air Nigeria told P.M.NEWS that the long flight delay was “a reactionary effect†which emanated from other countries where the plane had gone to pick passengers.
Air Nigeria, owned by businessman, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, has been experiencing long flight delays and cancellations in recent months on local routes, but such delays were not associated with its international flights.
