Handsworth Ready For Soccer Classic

Handsworth Football Club of Sango Otta have confirmed their readiness to take part in the U-18 Youth Soccer Classic which holds at Ijebu Ode Stadium, Ogun State.

Team Manger of Handsworth, Tajudeen Olasunkanmi, told GSG that after their disappointing outing in the Federation Cup, his team have started preparation for the U-18 Youth Soccer Classic.

“We have started preparation for the youth soccer classic.We want to win the tournament and make our fans happy after our Federation Cup’s defeat,” he said.

Tournament Coordintor, Prince Dapo Ajibade, said they have sent letters of invitation to amateur clubs in the Southwest of the country for the tourney and most of them have confirmed their interest. “Chief Adegboyega Onigbinde and other members of Nigerian Coaches Association will be part of the programme,” he said.

“During the competition,We are going to organise a one day coaching seminar for participating coaches.We have invited some scouts outside the country that will assess the players during the tournament,” he said.
