Managers Talk Tough Ahead Of Prince Gas Cup Final

Managers of Oniru United and De Sholly United are talking tough ahead of Prince Gas Cup final slated for 7 August at the Palace playground, Igando, Lagos State.

To reach the final, De Sholly humbled Junior United 2-0, while Oniru United defeated Hadijat FC 3-1 on penalty shootout after one goal apiece in the regulation time.

Speaking ahead of the final encounter, Oniru United manager, Ahmed Ajibola, is confident that his team will give De Sholly FC a run for their money and warned them to forget the cup.

“My players are battle ready to win the Prince Gas Cup. I am happy that the same team that failed in Boska Cup are in final of this competition. Winning the tropy is my ultimate target, anything short of that will be a disappointment,” he said.

In his own remark, De Sholly manager, Fatai Bashoru, said he will not trade words with Ajibola, but assured his fans that his team are battle ready for the final.

.“The final is going to be a mother of all battle. I respect Oniru United as a club, but it will be winners take all come 7 August. We have come a long way and we cannot afford to lose in the final,” he said.

Match Coordinator, Sulaiman Gadamosi, urged the two finalists to play the game according to the rules and regulations of the game, warning that any player caught violating the rules will be sanctioned.
