Undergraduate Launches Book

A final year law student of the University of Lagos, Mr. Kingson C. Uwandu, has launched a book titled: “The Nigerian Dream, the Passion, Vision and Hope”, at the Gani Fawehinmi student chambers of the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, Akoka.

The event was attended by distinguished personalities including Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Princess Adefulire-Orelope, who were represented, Mr. Dele Adesina SAN, who was the chairman of the occasion and professor Chioma Agomo, former Dean Faculty of Law, UNILAG.

The book which seeks to energize the weary, quicken the dull, liberate the people from captivity of the mind, give something to hope for and awake those slumbering to national consciousness. It is also meant to ignite passion which brings in us earnest love and patriotism.

The Dean, Faculty of Law, Professor Oyelowo Oyewo, said the book is an innovative exposition of the future of the Nigerian state in its evolution as a nation. According ti him, it also demonstrates the depth and wealth of intellectual awareness of the present day youths, contrary to the general conception that these youths are bereft of awareness and consciousness of national developmental issues.

The chairman of the occasion, Mr. Dele Adesina, in his remarks, said the book re-enforces the momentum of the amazing hope. It teaches us not to lose hope or faith in our nation as something spectacular is about to set in. Moreover, hope is what distinguishes the living from the dead. Hope is also the best driver of our passion, potential and commitment for excellence.

The author of book, Mr. Kingson C Uwandu, said “in my quest to contribute to our nation’s development and reorientation necessitated the writing of the book which is meant to enlighten, encourage and to ignite and direct our passion to building our nation and building men and women of impeccable character and intellect.
