Activities marking the 80th birthday ceremony of the renowned poet, actor and writer, Alagba Adebayo Faleti, kicked off yesterday with an exhibition of a Yoruba film entitled Fere bi ekun, written by the celebrator.
The film shown at the Arts Theatre Hall of the University of Ibadan, witnessed a large turn out of dignitaries, mostly the actor’s fans and this forced the organisers of the programme to show it twice.
An elated Faleti had a nice time during and after the exhibition, as students and well wishers trooped out en masse to celebrate with him and congratulate him.
Some of the personalities that graced the occation were members of ANTP, Professor Akinwunmi Ishola, Professor Niyi Osundare and Professor Femi Osofisan, among others.
