Chairman, Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State, Mr. Wasiu Eshilokun-Sanni, has urged Muslims in the state and the country in general to imbibe the spirit of love for one another during the period of the ongoing Ramadan fast.

He urged every resident of Lagos Island Local Government to reciprocate the councilâ€
In about three years of running the administration of the council, Eshilokun-Sanni said, beautification was carried out at The Marina with the construction of the median and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubuâ€
Other beautification projects carried out by his administration, according to him, include the erection of the statue of the late Oba Musendiq Adeniji-Adele, erection of Eyo statutes at Oyebanji junction, Adeniji-Adele Road sit outs, renovation of the Basketball Court in the area and shed for fish sellers also at Adeniji-Adele Road, among others.
In the area of education, the council chief listed some of the schools where renovation was carried out to include Holy Trinity Primary School, Isale Eko; Anwarul Islam Primary School, Elegbata; Olowogbowo Methodist Primary School, St. Paulâ€
Eshilokun-Sanni also mentioned drainages constructed by the council to include that at Oke Arin by Sanni Olusi, Oju Olobun, Dosunmu/Mosalasi, Ashogbon/Church, Bankole/Ashogbon, Issa Williams, Agoro/Bridge, Agarawu and Cole/Elegbata streets, among others.
