Lagos State House of Assembly has constituted a three–man ad hoc committee to look into the petition written by flood victims sent packing from the Agbowa Relief Camp.

The committee is headed by the Deputy Chief Whip, Hon. Rotimi Abiru. Other members of the committee are Hon. Bisi Yusuf and Hon. Hakeem Masha. They have two days to turn in their report.

The victims on Monday staged a protest to the assembly, accusing the General Manager of LASEMA, Dr. Oke Osanyitolu of maltreating and shortchanging them in the sharing of fund allocated to ease their transit from the camp.

The petitioners maintained that the N25,000 meant for them were not given to the original inhabitants of the camp but impostors, allegedly aided by the General Manager of LASEMA. They called on the lawmakers to investigate the allegations.
