The Managing Director of Arksego Security Nigeria Limited, Chief Segun Labiyi, has described the hiring of mai guards as security guards as a risk that Nigerians should avoid.
Speaking with P.M.NEWS in Lagos, Labiyi said that mai guards are not professionally trained on security matters and could, therefore, pose as security guards when in fact they may be terrorists or have criminal intentions
According to him, these mai guards are quacks who are hired at stipends by people without resorting to advice from professionals. He said the hiring of these quacks could undermine security standards, and intimately bring about more security threats to the country.
The Arksego boss advised the Federal Government to partner with credible and reputable private security companies in order to ensure that criminal and terrorist activities in the country are effectively tackled.
