Robbers Snatch Car with N2m

Armed robbers have attacked a businessman identified as Mr. R. O. Farojoye along Ilo-awela Road, near tollgate by Gateway Hotel, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria.

P.M.NEWS investigation revealed that the robbers who rode in a black Honda Bullet Jeep overtook and blocked Mr. Farojoye Mitsubishi Motero Limited gold colour car marked RK12 FKJ he was riding in and demanded for the vehicle keys at gun point.

It was also learnt that the robbers took their victim along with them to Sagamu area of Ogun State where they stripped to the pants before zooming off.

The case was reported at Sango Police Station where investigation has commenced.

When P.M.NEWS visited station, neither the Area Commander nor the Divisional Police Officer was around but a senior police officer confirmed the story, saying the police have already begun investigation.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS, Farojoye said he went to collect over N2 million for the contract he was executing when the incident happened, saying what matters to him most is how he can recover his car.

“I was having over N2 million in the car at the time of the robbery incident because I was going to purchase some materials for the contract I am executing and they took everything. My concern now, however, is how to recover my car back. I want to appeal to the police to speed up their investigation.”

Farojoye gave the engine and chassis numbers of the car as: 6G745740 and JA4MW51R1110277391respectively.

The police have appealed to members of the public with useful information about the car to contact the nearest police station or call 08023296945 and 08030684202.
