Bamgbola Cup Kicks Off

Bamgbola Soccer Competition kicked off on Sunday at the Airways Sports Ground, Itire, Lagos State.

Sixteen teams are taking part in the competition.

In the first match played on Sunday, Mohammed Lookman football team defeated Youth Empowerment Forum football team 2-0. The two goals were scored by Abey Sanusi and Igalo Day, who were on rampage throughout the match.

Honourable Hakeem Bamgbola, who watched the opening match, told GSG that he was impressed with the opening match and urged the youth to shun violence throughout the competition.

“We need to keep our youth busy because we don’t want them to get involved in social vices. I want all the teams to embrace peace and see the competition as a friendly game,” he said.
