“Those who claim to be leaders are only extorting the people in the name of party, asking those who have aspirations to bring what they cannot afford. They don’t have the interest of the people at heart. Therefore, we are holding this forum to tackle the issue once and for all,” he said.

Chief Ebenezer Akinbolade said,”Ikeja has always been a reference point in the politics of Lagos State but in recent times, things have gone haywire and we felt that good leaders, leaders of thought and selected leaders in the environment should come together, correct things and put the party on the right footing.

“We don’t want extortion anymore, we don’t want despots and impostors anymore. We don’t want people to exploit our members anymore and we want to ensure that we put a round peg in a round hole and not otherwise,” he said.
