Obasanjo, Tinubu Battle For Honours

Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the former governor of Lagos State and National leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, have been locked in a battle for honour in far away London, United Kingdom.

The duo are up for the prestigious Yoruba Man of the Year Award 2011, organised by the Yoruba Heritage Awards, UK.

The award ceremony Political Platform reliably gathered will come up on October 14, 2011 at Lighthouse Hall, 262- 274 Camberwell Road, London, UK.

Other political stalwarts to be honoured at the event, according to Emmanuel Oghenede, the award’s media consultant, includes Senator Olorunimbe Mamora for good representation as a senator representing Lagos East between 2003 – 2011, Senator Anthony Adefuye, Engr. Adedeji Doherty and Chief Olayinka Amos.

Other awardees include activist and labour leaders, Comrade Tokunbo Korodo, Comrade Philip Abiodun Abbey, Otunba Gani Adams and Bode Adeniji, among others.

The organisers congratulated the awardees, adding that they look forward to receiving them in London for the ceremonies.
