Ex-Secretary to Kosofe Local Government, Lagos, southwest Nigeria, between 2004 – 2007, Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon Babatunde, OKLA, has declared his intention to vie for the chairmanship seat of the local government.

OKLA as he his fondly called, said that as an experienced war horse who has over time built capacity, well equipped and fully prepared for the onerous task, it would only be proper to say he his the best man for the Job

Speaking on his programmes which he tagged “My Convenant,” he pledged the immediate computerisation of activities in the council, provide e-library for students and researchers, massive rehabilitation and construction of roads and provision of enterpreneurship via intensive vocational education/ skill acquisition.

He promised qualitative education through scholarship support for indigent students, provision of modern learning materials and school buses for pupils in the area.

He also pledged to upgrade all available Health Centers and provide additional three at Anthony, Ojota and Ifako wards. Special care for the aged and physically challenged.

“I’ll improve the welfare and due recognition of the traditional institutions in order to place them on a good pedestal amongst the committee of Obas and Chiefs in the state. I’ll also re-invigorate and empower the CDA’s actively on environmental matters.

“Standard sports/recreational centres will be provided in Mende, Ojota and Ogudu wards to engage the youths in order not to participate social vices.
