The Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, leaders in Lagos Central Senatorial District, Southwest Nigeria, met yesterday and resolved not to give their support to Dr. Rasak Folami for a second term in office as chairman of Surulere Local Government Area.

The meeting held at the Yaba Local Council Development Area, LCDA, office was attended by former ACN leader in the Sotuhwest, Prince Tajudeen Olusi, Murphy Adetoro, Wale Oshun, Abiodun Oluseye, Fouad Oki, Alhaji Hakeem Apatira, Mutiu Are, Toun Oni, Jide Jimoh, Moroof Ojora, Alhaji Nosiru Musa, Satri Arilesere, Hakeem Danmola, Col. R.O. Ajala, (retd), Chief David Adenekan and Asbialau Alapafuja.

The ACN leaders, including three local government bosses and one LCDA chairman, agreed that Folami should not be endorsed for a second term in office because he performed below expectation.

They noted that many people from Surulere have written protest letters against Folami accusing him of poor performance.

The ACN leaders also recalled that all the nine councilors in the council once made a bold step to impeach Folami but a leader in the Senatorial District prevailed on them to shelve the impeachment then.

When P.M.NEWS sought his reaction this morning, he said he was aware of the meeting and attributed the plot to stop him from going for a second term to the crisis in the council.

He, however, said he is on top of the situation.
