An Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, chairmanship aspirant in Lagos Island, Alhaji Ajasa Olasheni, has unveiled a nine-point agenda for his people if he is elected chairman in the forthcoming local government election.

Olasheni disclosed that he would address the people’s problems through his nine-point agenda which would be vigorously pursued to bring succour to the grassroots people who have been abandoned for a long time.

The nine-point agenda includes infrastructural development, affordable and qualitative education, free health services and adequate security for both visitors and residents in the local government area.

Others are poverty alleviation, attention to traditional institution, sports activities, special package for old people and creation of employment for the youths, so as to discourage them from engaging in crime.

Olasheni said the experience he had in the past stood him out and would help him to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

The aspirant, who also frowned at the level of insecurity on Lagos Island in recent times, revealed that the police, Community Development Associations (CDAs) and vigilance groups would be supported with security materials and fund.

He said his poverty alleviation programme which would include computer training, hairdressing, tailoring, barbing and others for the youths would go a long way to tackle the problem of employment which would help to disengage youths from criminal acts.

The aspirant refuted the alleged sponsored speculation that a particular aspirant has been endorsed by the party leaders from the Central Senatorial District.

He described the speculation as mere political propaganda to discourage other aspirants from their ambition.
