Scouts To Watch Abesan Cup

In a bid to discover hidden talents, football scouts are expected to be on ground during Abesan Power Horse championship which kicks off on 4 September.

The championship will hold in four centres which are Joju playground, Sango-Otta; Teachers Training College, Ifako Ijaye; Community Primary School, Isheri-Idimu and Abesan High School while the final match will hold on 30 October at Abesan High School, Ipaja, Lagos State.

Chairman Organizing Committee, Tayo Adeyemo, told GSG that this year’s edition sponsored by Charvet Nigeria Limited, marketer of Power Horse, will be glamorous and exciting as many local and foreign scouts will be on ground in search of new talents.

“We are bringing in scouts to watch all the matches in the four centres so that they can discover players that will be good for professional club at home and abroad,” he said

Defending Champion, MSI Academy, will begin the defence of their title when they take on Indomie FC in the opening match.

Thirty seven teams are expected to take part in this year’s edition. A total of N300, 000 is up for grab, with the winners taking home N100, 000, a trophy and a set of jerseys.
