Eighty-one students have been summoned to appear before the Central Students Disciplinary Committee of the University of Ibadan (UI) between Monday 15 and Wednesday 17, August 2011.

The students are expected to report at Council Chamber of the institution at 9am on the stated dates.

According to a special release from UI signed by the registrar, Mrs. Omotayo Ikotun, the students from almost all the faculties are accused of gross misconduct and examination malpractice.

While 37 of the students were accused of gross misconduct, the others are accused of examination misconduct.

Those to face the panel for examination malpractice include: twelve law student, one Archaeology and Anthropology student, three Geology students, four Physics students, eight Chemistry studentss, one Biochemistry student, one Guidance and Counselling students, one Religious Studies student, one Theatre Arts student, one Philosophy student, three Linguistics and African Language student, one pharmacy student, two Library, Archival and Information Studies students, one Education Management students.

Standing trial for gross misconduct are: two Geology students, two Political Science students, two Psychology students, two Library, Archival and Information Studies students, one Economics student, five Veterinary students, one Petroleum Engineering student, one Adult Education student, three Teacher Education students, one Theatre Arts student, one Agricultural and Environment Engineering student, one Computer Science and Electrical and Electronic Engineering student, one Statistics student, one Psychology student, one Archaeology and Anthropology student, two Education Management students, one Social Work student,four Guidance and Counselling students, and two Wildlife and Fisheries Management students.
