Lagos Sensitizes Top Functionaries On Personnel Budgeting, Structured Training Plan


Lagos State Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Mrs. Florence Modupeola Oguntuase, today, organised a one-day enlightenment / refresher workshop on personnel budgeting and the proposed structured training plan for all Departmental Training officers and Directors of Finance and Administration in the state’s civil service.

The event which took place at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium Alausa, Ikeja, was designed to sensitise participants on the importance of personnel budgeting and to equip them on the Year 2012 Structured Training Plan with a view to obtaining the desired feedback.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner stressed that the workshop was organized to bridge the gap between the Ministry of Establishments, Training and Pensions and the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget in terms of personnel budgeting and to also extend participant’s frontiers of knowledge as regards personal details and budget.

In her words, “there are two parts to this workshop, the first is to sensitise and train us on budgeting and the second is to give us an insight into the Year 2012 Structured Training Plan (STP). I will like to urge us that we bow to this new vision so that the aim of this administration can be achieved.”

Also, the Permanent Secretary, Office of Establishments and Training, Mrs. Shade Jaji, charged participants to maximise the advantages of the programme to enhance their productivity in the discharge of their duties.

Papers were delivered at the workshop by professionals on different topics. Among the consultants were Dr. Bunmi Biu, Lead Consultant, Victoria Richards Consultancy and Mr Adeshina Odeyemi, Director of Establishments in the ministry.
