Obuh's Boys Good For Super Eagles —Siasia

Super Eagles’ Chief Coach, Samson Siasia, has declared his intention to invite some of the Flying Eagles’ players who exhibited sterling performance at the ongoing FIFA World Youth Championship in Colombia before they crashed out.

Siasia said the Flying Eagles need to be encouraged for the commitment and their dedication to national call.

‘‘We need to commend these boys for their dedication and commitment to the national assignment. Although they are out of the competition, they displayed high level of intelligence and skill. I think there is need to draft some of them to the Super Eagles very soon,’’ he said.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles’ handler has said that the list of 30 players for the make or mar Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in Antananarivo next month would be released any time from now.

He said it is necessary to invite large a pool of players in order to forestall any disappointment from the players either due to injury or travelling hitches.

‘‘We are inviting at least 30 players for our next match against Madagascar. It is necessary to do so for us to have a large number of players to fall back on if there is any disappointment from any player,’’ he said.

Siasia, however, assured Nigerians of good outing in the match, adding that the both technical crew and the players know what is at stake for the team to be in next year’s Nations Cup that will be jointly hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
