Nigeria are playing the Indomitable Lioness of Cameroon on 28 August in the London Olympic Games qualifier, how are you looking forward to this encounter?

We are fully ready for the encounter. We cannot afford to play below expectations. The players are in high spirit and ready to do the nation proud.

Nigerians believe that when the two countries meet in any category it is always tough, do you see another tough match against Cameroon in Abuja?

I am expecting a tough match because Cameroon are not a pushover. That is why we cannot underrate them. We have learned our lesson in the All Africa Games qualifiers where we sent packing of the qualifying series by Ghana, and the just concluded FIFA Women World Cup held in Germany. So, we are going to play and win convincingly to make the return leg easy for us.

Vera Okolo is back in the team after she was out of football for many years, how do you rate Okolo performance in camp?

She is doing well in the team. We are still expecting six foreign-based players to join the team very soon.

Are you really satisfied with the players’ performance in the camp so far?

Of course. All the players know the task ahead and they are ready to give their best to the nation. We cannot afford to miss next year’s Olympic Games in London. So we are doing everything to beat Cameroon home and away.
