“It is not easy to get acquainted with the House rules, the deeper knowledge of the constitution, the politicking that goes on in the House and all the rudiments and processes of submitting bills and motions you want to scale through.

“You just have to work round other members to get this done. It is not a one-party thing. You have to convince that man from Sokoto, that PDP man from Kebbi State, that Labour man from Ondo State, to see things the way you see them. You just have to possess a sound interpersonal relationship skill to do all these.

“Again, before you stand up to present a motion, you have to be logical and technologically sound. You need solid facts and not just stand up to talk for talking sake. You have to be there to convince people to see things from your own perspective,” he said.
