Aspirants in the forthcoming local government elections in Lagos State have been advised to live by the party’s rules and the regulations and jettison the idea of politics of bitterness.
Mr. Oladipupo Olowu, an Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, councillorship aspirant in Kosofe Local Government, Ward ‘D’, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, gave the advice during a chat with Political Platform.
He said,”Contestants should play by the rules and regulations of the party and take a cue from the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “Whoever that emerged victorious at the polls should not forget his campaign promises to the people,” he said.
Olowu commended Tinubu and likened him to the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, for delivering the entire Southwest from the claws of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the last elections in the country.
He called on the electorate to ensure that they screen all the candidates very well and not cast their votes for those that do not have their interest at heart.
He promised to operate an open door policy and make an all encompassing empowerment his main agenda if voted into office.
