Party Leaders Endorse Chairmanship Aspirant

It was celebration galore at Goloba area of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, as Action Congress of Nigeria leaders in the local council ratified the candidature of Hon. Shamsideen Olaleye as the chairmanship candidate of the LCDA in the forthcoming local government elections.

Notable ACN leaders present at the occasion include Otunba Jide Oni, Elder Jimi Ogunlolu, Hon. Hellen Ogunmakinwa, Alhaji Ganiu Ayantunde, Mrs. Ebun Ayanleke, Rasak Adebayo, Alhaji Bakare Raimi, Engr. Oyegoke Olatunbosun, Alhaji Mogaji Olagbegi, Alhaji Oketoki Wasiu, Alhaji Kayode Folorunsho and Jamiu Omotayo.

Others are serving and ex-councillors, market men and women associations, pressure groups, artisans, students, among others.

Speaking at the occasion, Otunba Jide Oni described Olaleye as the man for the job,adding that with his experience at the grassroots, he has what it takes to take the LCDA to an enviable height.

According to Elder Jimi Ogunlolu, “this is the era of technocrats where you put a square peg in a square hole and not the other way round. Olaleye is our candidate in the forthcoming local government elections.

Mrs. Ebun Ayanleke said: “Olaleye is our right choice and we have not made any mistake in choosing him.”

In his acceptance speech, Olaleye restated his desire to make the LCDA the envy of other local councils in the state.

“I’m not going to the council for the fun of it, but to make a positive impact and my sole target is to become the best chairman in the state. I will make the roads motorable, provide health centres and soft loan for our women, rehabilitate our schools and take proper care of the aged and the youths,” he pledged.
