Hon. Niyi Lukman Adekunle, an Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, chairmanship aspirant for Agege Local Government Area, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, has promised a total transformation of the area if he is elected as the chairman of the area in the forthcoming local government election.
Adekunle made the statement at his campaign office in Agege, Lagos at an event organised for the public declaration of his intention to vie for the number one seat in the local government.
He explained that if given the opportunity, he will do everything possible to take the council to an enviable height especially in the area of education and improvement in the standard of living of the residents.
He maintained that his educational background and experience as a grassroots person coupled with his upbringing in the neighbourhood of Agege has placed him at vantage position to know the needs of his people and how best to satisfy those needs.
According to him, “the present administration in the state under the able and indefatigable leadership of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, has done his best in projecting the image of the state even outside the country and I promise to follow suit by doing all that would make Agege Local Government to be the envy of all as far as local governance is concerned. Kudos should also be given to the national leader of ACN, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his leadership role in the state,“ Adekunle said.
He added that the council under his administration will ensure harmonious relationship with youths, CDC/CDA, relevant business groups and community heads, a step which will let us know the needs of the residents and at the same time guide us on how immediate solution could be found to them.
Adekunle, therefore, called for the cooperation and support of all the residents to ensure his ambition is realised by voting him as the next chairman of the area.
