Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has described the death of Chief Yomi Bamgbose, a chieftain of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the state, as shocking and unbelievable.

Amosun stated this today in Abeokuta while commiserating with the family of the slain ACN member in his house at Olorombo, behind MKO Abiola stadium.

He described the late Bamgbose as a dedicated and loyal party leader, stressing that he never wavered at all in his quest for the enthronement of good leadership in the state.

The governor said that the deceased had left a vacuum which would be too difficult to fill because of his uncommon sincerity while alive.

Amosun said: “God knows the best for taking his life at this critical period; I am confident that God will reward him positively for his good works while alive.”

He prayed that God Almighty would give the family of the deceased and the entire ACN family in Ogun State and Nigeria the comfort and fortitude to bear the loss.

The governor was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Funso Amosun and members of the state executive council.

The late Yomi Bamgbose was the co-ordinator of Vehicle Inspection Office in the South-West and a chieftain of ACN in the state.
