Eagles Arrive Madagascar, Get Offday From Siasia

The 23-man Super Eagles team for the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier against

Madagascar arrived in the country on Thursday morning aboard a chartered Air Nigeria plane.

A statement issued by the team’s Press Officer, Colin Udoh, said the team was given a day off by Coach Samson Siasia.

It further said that the duo of Gege Soriola and Ike Uche had joined the team while Joseph Yobo, the team’s captain, was being expected later in the day.

”Soriola was already at the hotel when the team came in, while Uche landed soon after the squad had left the airport.”

It said that the delegation was headed by the Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee, Christopher Green.

The team, lodged in the four-star Carlton Hotel, would train on Friday.

The players in camp are Mikel Obi, Victor Anichebe, Ahmed Musa, Fengor Ogude, Dele Adeleye, Joel Obi, Peter Utaka, Chinedu Obasi, Obinna Nsofor, Solomon Okoronkwo, Dele Aiyenugba and Emmanuel Emenike.

Others are Nosa Igiebor, Brown Ideye, Chigozie Agbim, Chibuzor Okonkwo, Yusuf Ayila, Elderson Echiejile, Vincent Enyeama, Efe Ambrose, Gege Soriola and Ike Uche.
