Make Masses' Welfare Your Priority, Adefuye Tells Leaders


Nigerian leaders have been charged to rule with the fear of God and make the welfare of the masses their priority.

Senator Anthony Adefuye, who said this during his birthday thanksgiving service at St. Dennis Catholic Church, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos State, Southwest Nigria, also enjoined wealthy and privileged Nigerians to shed part of their excessess to improve the lots of others.

Adefuye, a frontline politician and philanthropist, during the celebrations which were concluded with a reception at his Lekki Phase 1 residence, wondered why Nigerians should wallow in poverty despite the nation’s unlimited resources.

He, therefore, cautioned the leaders to bear in mind the likely unpalatable reaction of the masses, which may result from the unbearable oppression in the land.

He reiterated the need to rule with the fear of God and revamp the socio-economic and political infrastructure presently militating against the nation’s growth.

Adefuye pleaded with those concerned, especially clerics to pray for our leaders for God’s guidiance the nation’s governance, urging the people to be grateful to God at all times and work in the service of humanity.

The frontline Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, member expressed his family’s gratitude to God and all those present at the event which he described as a testimony to his acceptance by the people.

He charged them to be their brother’s keepers at all times and make the society better than they met it.

The highlights of the event included the presentation of an award to the celebrant by the president and members of The Light Bearers, Wesley Cathedral, Olowogbowo, Lagos.
