Plateau Govt Assures Residents Of Adequate Security

The Pateau Government has assured both indigenes and residents of the state of adequate security of lives and property.

The government also said the rumour of alleged attack as circulated in text messages by the leader of the Izala Muslim sect, Sheik Yahaya Mohammed, is being handled with all seriousness and judicial attention it requires.

Special Adviser to Plateau State Governor, Pam Ayuba, who disclosed this on phone hinted that the government is taking sustainable pro-active security measures that would ensure not only safety of lives and property but also nip the frequent violence in the state in the bud.

According to the governor’s spokesman, “the security council sat today and came up with an 8-point resolution that would help secure the state and ensure sustainable security.”

While he said Governor Jang is leaving nothing to chance to bring to book those behind the Monday 29 August Rukuba Road bloody clash.

He advised residents to go about their normal business and shun statements capable of breaching public peace.

“Jang is committed to bringing about lasting peace in the state,” Ayuba said.
