The Kano State branch of an Islamic organisation, Jama’atu Izalatil Bidi’a Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), has called on the Federal Government to prosecute the perpetrators of the recent Jos crisis.
In a statement in Kano on Tuesday, the Public Relations Officer of the organisation, Alhaji Ibrahim Jada, also urged the government to bring to justice all those found guilty in the previous crises since 2001.
Jada said the call was necessary in order to restore lasting peace to the state and the country as well as ensure justice and fairness to everyone.
“We are equally appealing to the federal and state governments to take all necessary measures in order to bring to an end the crisis in Jos and ensure peace and unity in the country.â€
The organisation appealed to wealthy individuals and corporate organisations in Kano State to assist the victims of the crisis with a view to alleviating their sufferings.
