2 Arraigned Over N2m Recharge Cards

The police at Onikan Division, Ikoyi, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, have arrested two suspected thieves and arraigned them before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court on a two-count charge of stealing.

The police alleged in the suit that the accused, Akpata Emmanuel, 29 and Gabriel Daniel, 35, were arrested following a complaint by Royal Service Limited that the accused stole their MTN, Airtel and Glo recharge cards valued at N2 million.

The incident occurred at the Royal Service Wireless Limited, 31, Keffi Street, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and the presiding magistrate, Mr. Shonuga, granted them bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He adjourned the case till 19 September, 2011.

The accused were ordered remanded at Ikoyi Prison pending when they perfect their bail conditions.
