A Lagos housewife has dragged her husband to the police on allegations of threat to life, attempted kidnap and assault.

P.M.NEWS learnt that on 25 May, this year, the housewife identified as Mrs Chinyere Amaechi Musa petitioned the police, accusing her husband, Polycarp Musa, of allegedly threatening to kill her.

She also disclosed in her statement to the police that her man used juju to tie her womb in order to prevent her from conceiving, since he belong to a secret occult group.

Based on her statement, her husband, Polycarp Musa was invited by the office of Police Public Relations at Oduduwa Street on 6 June, to shed more lights on the allegations.

Independent checks by P.M.NEWS revealed that the case is being investigated by Patricia Idahosa, an assistant superintendent of police and deputy police public relations officers, Lagos State Police Command.

ASP Idahosa confirmed to our reporter that she was handling the case, saying that Musa responded to police invitation and actually made statement that could assist the police in their investigations.

But when our reporter called Chinyere on phone for her comment, she did not pick her call. She, however, sent a text message saying that the matter should be killed as, according to her, it is not worth it.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS, her husband, Musa, insisted that the matter should not be swept under the carpet since his wife dragged him to police with the intention to run him down. According to him, all the allegations levelled against him by the wife are baseless, false, unfounded and unsubstantiated.

Musa said that since he got married to the woman in 2007, “I have never in words or deed threatened to either kill, kidnap or assaulted her.” On allegations Musa used juju to tie her womb so that she could not conceive, the embattled husband said that all medical examinations conducted in competent hospitals and diagnostic centres in Lagos showed that she has problems with her ovaries, which has made it impossible for her to conceive, even at the age of 50 years.

For instance, medical exanimations conducted by Dr B.Alao of Union Diagnostic and Clinical, Yaba, Lagos on 20 August, 2009 and the one carried out by Dr Ebedi of Prisms Diagnostic Clinic, Surulere, both revealed that her inability to conceive was due to the problems she is having with her ovaries.

On allegations that he belongs to an occult group, the man wondered why the wife, who lived with him for years before voluntarily packing out of her matrimonial home should now turn around to cook up a story of his belonging to an occult group.

He insisted that he has never been and will never be associated with juju or occult, since he is a staunch member of the Catholic Church and has held various positions in the church in the last 24 years.
